ARTE SAN RAMÓN

Last year, I managed to visit Arte San Ramón; an art gallery located in the center of the city. I've known this gallery for years, my mom used to work there so I remembered how the place looked like before its renovation. But when I came back, I was mesmerized.

It's the clean lines, the natural light that enters through the ceilings, the simplicity and also the colors and brightness of the marvelous art pieces that make Arte San Ramón such a beautiful spot in the middle of all the chaos. It's an amazing place to find some inspiration. Well, I'll let these photos speak for themselves.

The Artists' Market

Last weekend, I went with my friend Sarah to the Artists' Market of San Francisco de Macorís, which is a town in the North of the country. We had quite an adventure, I have to say. We spent like one and a half hour on the bus to get there.

Anyway, remember Isis? Yeah, the super talented photographer. She's the one that came with the idea, and she organizes everything. There's art, music, books, fashion, food... Everything! Amazing, isn't it?

Unfortunately, we had to go a bit early, but I honestly can't wait for the next Market, I bet it will be as good as this one, maybe even better! :)

Military... Seen at the 27th Biennal of Visual Arts

As I told you, I was hypnotized with all the beautiful art that I saw at the 27th Biennial of Visual Arts.

Okay, let me tell you. This is one of my favorite artworks from the Biennial.

I love it. Remember when we talked about the camo trend? Well, this immediatly reminded me of this when I saw it. And you know what? The red and grey details also remind me of the Valentino Spring 2013 collection. Don't you think?

The only thing is, I forgot the artist's name, ugh. Well anyway... What do you think? Do you like it?

Inspired XI

Hello! I've been a bit away for a few weeks, but trust me, that happened for good reasons (I'll tell you eventually). There's been a lot going on, a lot of good things. I finally graduated from high school and I'll enter university on September (wooo, things happen quickly).

Well, here's some kind of board of images that are inspiring me at the moment and I wanted to share with you, as always. Right now, I'm feeling inspired by very bright colors, beaches and all those summer-y things. I've been trying to take as many pictures like these as I can, I'll show you the results later. Hello! So, two days ago I was just browsing through the internet and I found this editorial shot by Omar Sartor for L'Officiel Hommes Italia Issue. I know that almost each store is starting to sell their fall/winter merchandise, but I can't help it, I really love these prints from the menswear spring/summer collections; they're like art pieces. And the way they were selected just for this editorial is just incredible. I think they'd also look perfect as home tapestry. That's one of the things I love about design, when you create something that inspires people and something that lasts.

Dando Show

Tonight, I went to Casa de Teatro to see an art exhibition called 'Dando Show' from my friend Rafael de los Santos, better known as Poteleche. I must say that I really admire him and his sketches, they really inspire me to keep creating and drawing. You can check his blog here.
